Foreign and trade ministers of the 21-nation Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC ) forum have gathered in Vladivostok on Wednesday to discuss food security, measures required to ensure effective response to emergency situations, the Doha trade talks under the umbrella of the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as projects to develop multilateral trading. Today’s meeting is the last in a series of talks preceding the 20th APEC summit on September 8-9.

During the two-day talks APEC foreign and trade ministers are going to sum up the results of the work already done in 2012 and discuss plans for the future. The delegates will also approve the text of the Declaration of leaders and adopt a joint ministerial statement.
